These Terms of Service outline the agreement between you (“the Client”) and Emily Taylor and Rebecca Symonds (“the Facilitators”) for participation in The Receiving Retreat 2025. By booking your place, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
1. Retreat Overview
Event: The Receiving Retreat 2025
Dates: 17–24 November 2025
Location: Sri Lanka
A full information pack with details of the location, accommodation, transportation, and itinerary will be provided by 1 October 2025.
The retreat focuses on group sessions, philosophical discussions, and scheduled activities as outlined in the itinerary.
Any individual coaching offered during the retreat is optional, not guaranteed, and is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.
2. Investment & Inclusions
Prices:
Solo room: £2,300
Shared room: £2,000
Included in the price:
7 nights’ accommodation in Sri Lanka
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and shared snacks/drinks at the villa
Shared transfers between the airport and accommodation
Transportation for included excursions
Activities such as yoga, group coaching, hypnotherapy, embodiment practices, and other scheduled experiences
Not included:
Flights to/from Sri Lanka
Travel insurance (mandatory)
Visa and travel documents
Additional snacks, drinks, and excursions outside the villa and/or itinerary
3. Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place.
The remaining balance is payable via an agreed payment plan, with the first instalment due on 1 August 2025 and subsequent payments on the 1st of each month.

Sort Code: 04-00-03Late payments beyond 7 days incur a £100/month fee.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
All bookings are non-refundable. By booking, you commit to the full payment plan.
If the retreat is cancelled by the Facilitators, refunds will be processed within 8 months.
If you cancel, you remain liable for the full amount unless a suitable replacement is found.
5. Extreme Circumstances Policy
In the event of serious, unforeseen events such as:
Serious illness/injury requiring hospitalization
Death or severe illness of an immediate family member
Legal obligations (e.g., jury duty, court summons)
You may be eligible for up to a 50% refund (excluding the non-refundable deposit).
To qualify:
Notify the Facilitators in writing as soon as possible
Provide verifiable documentation (e.g., doctor’s note, death certificate, legal summons)
Approved refunds will be processed within 60 days
Alternatively, you may transfer your booking to another approved individual, no later than 30 days before the retreat start date.
6. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate personal details
Monitor email for updates and respond to facilitator communications
Arrange your own travel and health insurance
Ensure you have a valid visa and necessary travel documents
Bring required medical supplies and manage your own health needs
7. Facilitator Responsibilities
The Facilitators are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages unless caused by their negligence.
If one Facilitator is unavailable due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the retreat will proceed with the remaining Facilitators.
8. Behaviour Policy
All participants must conduct themselves respectfully.
Disruptive or harmful behaviour may result in immediate removal from the retreat, at your own expense.
9. Liability Disclaimer
The retreat is not therapeutic or medical in nature.
You attend at your own risk and are responsible for your personal safety and belongings.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By booking your place, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge your commitment to the retreat and payment plan.
